A table runner is a simple and elegant alternative to a full tablecloth, adding that extra touch to your table. Place it directly on the table or over a tablecloth. Whether along the length or across the table, mix and match patterns and colors to create a personal and delightful table setting.
Caring for your table runner is easy. The blend of linen and cotton makes it durable and long-lasting, able to withstand repeated washing. For an extra polished look, shape it slightly right after washing.
All Ekelund textiles are made from 100% organic raw materials and are sustainably produced at our mill in Horred, Sweden. They are also GOTS-certified and approved by the Swedish royal court – something we are proud of.
About the pattern
“The inspiration for the Snöröd pattern comes from classic kurbits designs. I am very fond of the playful and imaginative shapes found in traditional Swedish folk painting. The pattern is built around a symmetrical composition in which large, stylised flowers are surrounded by winding leaves, together creating generous, decorative forms. My hope is that the pattern will evoke the character of old hand-painted folk art while at the same time being simplified and adapted to a modern textile design.
The bright red background combined with the light-coloured motifs gives Snöröd a bold and festive expression. The colour combination brings Christmas and traditional celebrations to mind, making the pattern a beautiful addition to the Christmas table. At the same time, Snöröd was not created as a traditional Christmas motif, but rather as a celebration of the joy found in decorative folk art – its colours, shapes and imaginative character. An expressive design that works just as beautifully for festive Christmas table settings as for other occasions when you want to give the table a warm and traditional feel.”

WASHING ADVICE
Machine wash at 60°C. Wash with similar colors. Tablecloths containing linen should NOT be tumble dried. Shake out the tablecloth thoroughly after washing and hang it up to dry. For best results, lightly iron the tablecloth while it is slightly damp, in the lengthwise direction. Tip! For even better results, shape the tablecloth after shaking it out before hanging it. All our products are delivered with an allowance for shrinkage.
