Betty Svensson

Betty Svensson harbours a lifelong passion for creating, designing, and expressing herself through various artistic mediums. Her artistic journey began after her education at the University of Design and Crafts in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Betty has a predilection for hand-painting everything, and her adeptness in handling both watercolour and gouache is indeed impressive. It is through these artistic means that she brings her designs to life and lets them tell their own visual stories.

The biggest source of inspiration for Betty is nature. The beauty and complexity of nature has always fascinated her, and Betty strives to incorporate its changing shapes and colours into her creations. Each pattern she creates tells a story about the wonders of nature.

For many years Betty has had the privilege of working with us at Ekelund Linneväveri. Seeing the final textiles take shape, and going from sketches on paper to beautiful textiles that enrich people's lives is an incredible reward, according to Betty.
