Welcome to Ekelund Linen Weavery - Sweden's oldest weavery since 1692. Here you will find a wide range of our current collections as well as a large factory sale of outgoing products.

Right next to the shop is our own exhibition and museum. Are you curious about how our textiles are made? You are warmly welcome to a free tour of our weavery, with times available further down on the page.

The café closes 30 minutes before the shop.

Museum / Exhibition

When you visit us, don't forget to check out the Ekelund House's own museum and exhibition section. Here you can learn about the textile industry of the Sjuhäradsbygden and exciting stories.

In the museum, you will also learn about Ekelund's unique history of being the world's oldest documented textile company. This is a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience Swedish textile history at its best.

Weavery Tour

The weavery tour is a popular experience at Ekelund. Here you can follow the entire process from yarn to finished fabrics. You walk around the factory at your own pace, and we who work in production are your guides, and you are welcome to ask questions about different aspects of the weaving art in a modern weavery..

Opening hours:: Mon - Thurs 11-15 & Fri 11-12.30. 
Groups of 15+ people - please send a pre-registration.
Please note that the tour is closed week 29 - 30.

Bus Trips and Larger Groups

If you are a larger curious group wanting to take a look into the world of weavery, you are warmly welcome to us. Here at Ekelund, we offer talks with inspiring details about our work here in the textile region. The talk is followed by a weavery tour starting at our oldest Jacquard loom from the 1850s and then moves on to Swedish textile manufacturing today. Before or after the tour, enjoy a good homemade fika in our café and of course, a tour in our large store. Here you will find both beloved classics and a large outlet store.
