Björk-Forth

Magnus Fortmeier is a dedicated Swedish textile designer who has been active since 1997 and runs the Björk-Forth design studio in Borås, Sweden. Since its inception, Björk-Forth has had the privilege of crafting intriguing patterns that have reached both the Swedish and international markets.

Magnus relishes experimenting with colours, but his heart holds a particular fondness for graphic patterns in black and white. These simple, yet powerful contrasts appeal to Magnus and give room for the imagination to flow.

The source of inspiration is wide and varied, and Magnus constantly finds new ideas in his surroundings. While everyday life serves as a wellspring of ideas, nothing quite compares to the sublime nature and the garden surrounding his summer house by Lake Tolken, located just a few miles from Ekelunds in Horred, Sweden.
