Heidi Lange

Heidi Lange is a Swedish artist from Stockholm and is a versatile creator who has the privilege of living in three different countries: Kenya, Italy and Sweden. These three unique environments have not only challenged her to adapt to different cultures, but have also served as a source of constant inspiration and new ideas. Which in turn led to a wide variety in her work.

Heidi has delved into the art of screen printing on textiles and has also had the opportunity to create grand mural paintings that adorn hotels, lodges, and public buildings in Kenya. The rich colours and patterns of Kenyan culture have been a source of endless creativity for her, and Heidi is proud to carry these traditions forward through her work.

In Italy, Heidi has focused on creating paintings and participating in exhibitions. The country's rich artistic heritage and scenic beauty have inspired her to explore different forms of artistic expression and share her work with a wider audience.

Back in Sweden, Heidi has primarily focused on design commissions, particularly in the souvenir sector. Here, Heidi has had the opportunity to craft products and textiles that celebrate Swedish culture, with a particular focus on Vikings, the Sami people, and motifs of ancient rock carvings. Marrying traditional and modern design elements has been an exciting challenge, culminating in a remarkable textile collection in collaboration with Ekelund.
