Malin Gyllensvaan

Malin Gyllensvaan, born 1975, is a prominent textile designer and illustrator based in Stockholm, Sweden, known for her intricate patterns with flowers, animals and nature. Her passion for gouache and pencil permeates her work, and she often combines the two techniques to create her pieces.

Malin's focus on colour and texture results in lush, enchanting works of art. Malin hopes that her creations will bring the viewer to a world of natural beauty and wonder, awaken a feeling of calm and harmony.

Malin holds a degree in printed textiles from Chelsea College of Arts in London and spent twelve years as an in-house textile designer before embarking on her freelance career. Malin draws inspiration from a variety of sources, including vintage botanical illustrations and the patterns of the Arts and Crafts Movement. Her work is characterised by a deep appreciation for the natural world and a keen eye for detail.
